I am a Sociology Major sophomore here at SUNY Cortland. I don’t really have many interesting facts about myself. I am the last born of a triplet. I like studying Japanese on my own time as well as K-pop dances. I am a part of the Cortland Dance Company here on campus, as well as the SUNY Cortland Gospel Choir, and the newly founded Praise Dance team here on campus, founded by both my sister and I. I am originally from Jamaica and came here 6/7 years ago. I am a Christian. I like K-pop, cats, cute stuff, pastel colours, dancing, and reading. I will advise others who would want to get to know me, APPROACH WITH CAUTION!!! 🙂

Hi. My name is Hunter. I am a freshman BMS major here at Suny Cortland. I am originally from upstate New York, on the borders of Vermont and Massachusetts in a town called Hoosick Falls. I do not like to read and I am a very slow reader. I hope to try to improve these skills throughout this course. My favorite activity to do is play football. I cant wait to get to know each and every one of you. 😁

My name is Paul, and I am from Bellport, NY. I am a sophomore at Suny Cortland. My major is Sport management. I have never been a big reader, but I am hoping that changes over this course. I like playing sports, but my favorite is Hockey which I’ve played my whole life and listening to music in my spare time.

My name is Trista. I am currently a sophomore at Suny cortland. My major is early childhood education. I love reading, I have read all the books I have at least twice. I am hard of hearing and have hearing aids. Can’t wait to work with everyone this semester!

My name is Kara Vito and I’m currently a junior here at SUNY Cortland! My favorite book that I’ve ever read is A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. It’s very long and a little bit difficult to get through, but very worth it for how heartbreakingly beautiful the story is. I’ve only read it once because of how long it is but I honestly would call it life-changing. I’m looking forward to working with all of you this semester!

My name is Jaclyn, and I’m a sophomore here at Cortland. My major is English in Adolescent Education and I’m from Long Island, New York. I like reading, listening to music and being with my friends. I hope everyone has a great semester and I’m excited for this class!

Hi, I’m Jennifer and most people either call me Jen or Jenny which feels most comfortable for me. I grew up in Westchester and later moved up to Putnam County which is about three and a half hours from Cortland. I major in Political Science which is strange for Cortland but honestly makes classes feel more personal since they are so small. Currently, I am getting back into reading once again to feel more productive and it seems to be going well.

This is my introduction post. I am in my second semester of freshmen year. I’m undecided for now but I’m thinking of recreation or business. I’m from Watkins Glen, a small town on Seneca Lake. I enjoy skiing, sports, and being with friends and family. I am very excited for this next semester!

Hi! My name is Grace Mezzatesta and I am from Long Island, NY.  I have a cat named Reese and he is the best. I will attach a photo of him below so you can see how adorable he is! My favorite number is 7 and my favorite color is blue. I am a sophomore with a major in inclusive childhood education. I went to SUNY New Paltz for a year before I transferred here. I have a twin sister who also transferred here too, her name is Annie. I became pescatarian over the summer and I love it. When I am at school it can be hard so once in a blue moon I’ll have some type of meat or chicken. I refer to it as being a flexitarian. I like to ski and I am so excited to go to the local mountain this spring semester and do a few runs! I brought up a pair of ice skates too, so if anyone knows any good spots to go ice skating when the lakes freeze, please feel free to share 🙂

Hi! My name is Charlotte Turner. I am a junior, Speech and Hearing Science major. I’m from Rochester, NY. I just started getting into reading again and I have been loving the Colleen Hoover books. I love going to the gym and lifting with my housemates. Also, I just got a golden doodle puppy named Ellie over winter break!
