My name is Lauren Kruger. I am a sophomore and an Early Childhood/Childhood Education major. I am from Long Island. I have three sisters, two nieces, and two nephews so I come from a pretty large family. I work at a vineyard on Long Island, which I really enjoy. Some hobbies that I also enjoy are reading fictional books, going to the gym, playing with my puppy, and listening to music.
Hi my name is Brianna Cinque
I am from Staten Island, New York. I play basketball for the Women’s basketball team here at Cortland. I really enjoy listening music and hanging out with my friends in my free time. One of my favorite foods is pasta and chicken cutlets. I like to read mostly fictional stories and enjoy going to the gym. Also, I am the oldest of three other siblings!
Hi I am Brooke Semco
Hello I am Brooke Semco and I am majoring in psychology. I am from Orange County which is about two hours and thirty minutes away from Cortland. I live with my two younger sisters, my parents, and my dog Cooper. I am not a big reader but I am currently reading “The Deal” by Elle Kennedy, which is really good and would recommend this book to everyone.
Welcome!
Welcome to ENG252 Introduction to Multicultural Literature. I’m Professor Savonick (or Danica), and I’m looking forward to our semester together!
In order to ensure a smooth start to the semester, I’d like you to please do the following:
1) Obtain the five required books for the course. Physical copies are recommended for annotation.
2) Read through the attached syllabus. As you do this, start thinking about which readings look most interesting to you so you can sign up to blog for our discussion of that text.
3) Register for our course website. It’s a work in progress and materials will be added throughout the semester.
Instructions for registering can be found in the syllabus. I need to manually approve your registration, which can take a few days, so the sooner you register, the better. Please be sure to write down the username and password you select.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday, January 24.
